Smash Infinite flavor text
—Description from the Super Smash Blog.

Jeanne is Bayonetta's Echo Fighter and is classified as Fighter #63ε. She was revealed in a Twitter announcement on October 13th, 20XX alongside Ninten. Jeanne shares many similarities with her rival-turned-best friend Bayonetta, but differs from her in attack properties, in addition to attacks involving Madama Butterfly being replaced with her own pact demon Madama Styx, making her similar to Richter.

Grey DeLisle-Griffin reprises her role as voice provider of Jeanne, in international versions of Super Smash Bros. Infinite while Mie Sonozaki reprises her role in Japanese versions of the game. Just like Bayonetta, the Japanese version of Infinite has her alternate costume, based on her appearance from the first Bayonetta game speak exclusively in English, while her default appearance, taken from Bayonetta 2, speaks in Japanese.

Attributes[]

Differences from Bayonetta[]

Jeanne is nearly identical to her counterpart, however there are some tweaks to her moveset to differentiate her.

Moveset[]

Jeanne’s Special Moves
Standard Special Bullet Climax
Similar in function to Bayonetta's with higher attack and stopping power.
Side Special Heel Slide/After Burner Kick

However, while this move can be spammed, it does set you back $10 per container, so be wary.

Up Special Witch Twist
Has less aerial recovery ability in exchange for launching power.
Down Special Witch Time
It has a smaller window to connect but, when it does, it has a longer effect. If it doesn't fully connect, Moth Within activates.

Taunts[]

  • Up Taunt: Jeanne points both of her guns forward and says "Bring it!"
  • Down Taunt: Turns back while flipping her hair and quickly pivots while saying "I'll show you REAL strength!"
  • Right Taunt: She stomps on the ground which causes a burst of magical energy to erupt up.
  • Left Taunt: She hovers in the air, twirls, and laughs while saying "You're fighting me!"

On-Screen Appearance[]

  • Functions much like Bayonetta's appearance but, instead, emerges from Moth's Within

Idle Poses[]

  • Flips her hair.
  • Beckons the person to come.

Victory Poses[]

  • She turns to walk away and then pivots back and does a high kick before bringing it down and saying "Such a disappointment!"
  • She twists in place while unleashing a hail of bullets around her before posing with her guns.
  • She lands and adjusts her goggles before glaring at the screen and saying "Not a fan of Witches?"
