Trivia[]
- "Ai no Uta" and "Tane no Uta" are the first promotional singles to be included in Smash Bros.
- This is discounting "Jump Up, Super Star!" from Super Mario Odyssey, as that song can also be heard in-game.
- However, there is an Easter Egg in Pikmin 2 where the Pikmin can sing the song's melody if Olimar manages to gather 20 of each type.
- The band behind the two songs, Strawberry Flower, is the first digital band to be credited in Smash. Press releases described the group as being comprised of the five main species of Pikmin (before the introduction of Rock and Flying Pikmin), while the actual human members have since remained anonymous.
- As both tracks and the French version of "Ai no Uta" are owned by the band, they are most likely the reason all three songs have only appeared in Brawl.
- Pikmin shares this unique distinction with Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Dragon Quest, the first two Sonic the Hedgehog games, Culdcept, Soma Bringer, and Style Savvy: Styling Star, as they all have songs not owned by the IP holder but by a third-party group instead.
- As both tracks and the French version of "Ai no Uta" are owned by the band, they are most likely the reason all three songs have only appeared in Brawl.
- "Ai no Uta" is the only song in Smash to be certified Double Platinum by the RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan), as the single ended up outselling the very game it was meant to promote.
- This is discounting "Jump Up, Super Star!" from Super Mario Odyssey, as that song can also be heard in-game.
- "Ai no Uta (French Version)" is the only song in Smash to be specifically made for advertisements. It is also the only foreign language song to not be sung in Japanese.
